I have been so loved, cared for, and blessed by the Thrive team during my first Thrive retreat. Here are a few of my favorite things from the retreat:
I loved that the teaching times were mostly in the morning, allowing me time to reflect and learn from the teaching while not feeling overwhelmed with too much information.
The worship time was a highlight for me. I serve with my husband in a small, Amazon jungle village where we attend a church that struggles musically. At the Thrive retreat, we were able to read the words to the songs and sing beautifully together which spoke to the depths of my soul and often moved me to tears.
I’m grateful for our small groups. I never felt alone. The retreat gave us unique opportunities to connect with other women, even giving us time to explore Tallinn together.
Truthfully, I loved every part of the retreat. The awesome opportunity to listen to God’s voice, to share and be heard, and to have love poured out on us in countless ways—everything from chocolate (my weakness) to gifts carefully selected for each one of us, massages, personal care activities, and so much more. The hugs and smiles from the Thrive staff and other attendees meant the world to me. I don’t know that I have ever felt so welcomed before. I will go home renewed and refreshed, knowing God truly cares for me and all the details of my life. He gives me the blessed HOPE that we, who have trusted in Christ, will celebrate together with Him in Heaven for all eternity. The retreat affirmed for me that what He has called me to do on earth is not in vain but for His eternal purposes.
