Day 1 | 30 Days of Prayer | Colorado
Commit your works to the Lord And your plans will be established. (Proverbs 16:3).
For the next thirty days, we have the privilege of praying for the Thrive Retreat in Colorado. Our retreat goals are to provide encouragement to our guests to through spiritual, physical and emotional refreshment.
With Your help, we will do that by
- Reminding women of their true identity as beloved daughters of the King
- Providing spiritual refreshment through fellowship, study of the Word, intercession, rest
- Demonstrating His lavish love by showering them with gifts, beauty treatments, healthy physical touch, fun and laughter
- Creating a safe environment through a warm welcome, assimilation, a haven environment, listening and counseling
- Facilitating connection in the context of their small group, multi-organization interactions, and time with others who “get their life”
Please help each one who is coming to the retreat with the refreshment they need. We commit the retreat and these goals to You, Father.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Challenges for Prayer:
AIDS has devastated the country. Botswana has the world’s second-highest prevalence of AIDS after Swaziland. The disease, spread mostly by sexual promiscuity, has stolen 28 years from the nation’s life expectancy and created a situation so dire that a recent president stated, “We are threatened with extinction.” Over 100,000 AIDS orphans exist in the country, a staggering number for such a small population. Pray for the following:
a) The government has fast-tracked a programme that makes anti-retroviral drugs available through the public sector, drugs that will keep many alive. Pray that the government might have wisdom to know and do what is right. Pray that people will make use of these services in a way that effectively prolongs their lives.
