Day 24 | 30 Days of Prayer | Croatia
Topic: Color, Medical Consults, Photos and Workshops
Today we pray for Volunteers: Debbie, Ronnie, Cheryl, Margaret, Jeannette
The Lord God is with you; he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing (Zephaniah 3:17).
As women, you know of our many struggles with self-esteem. Lord, we ask You to help these ladies live in truth and not belittle their value by dwelling on Satan’s lies. Give them discipline, perseverance, and creativity to take care of their bodies and nourish their souls. We ask that You help them find healthy ways to deal with their stress. Lead them into healthy rhythms in work, rest, exercise, and friendship. We seek your blessing as we do color, pictures, consults, and workshops. Many of the attendees will be in route to the hotel today. Please go before them, and remove any complications.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Regional Prayer Focus Nation: France
Challenges for Prayer
The accelerating decline of religious faith since the 18th Century has seen France’s Catholic and mainline Protestant legacies plummet in recent years, even as atheism has grown. Hostility toward organized religion as well as the privatization of spirituality mean that regular attendance in any church is below 8%. Some surveys show that over 30% of French people are non-religious. Most French have a profound ignorance of, or indifference to, the gospel, many having never meaningfully encountered it. Yet, the relativism of postmodernity has generated acute emptiness and existential angst; as many have noted, this in turn has created a spiritual hunger that has grown rapidly in recent years. Pray that such hunger might overcome the suspicion toward religion. Pray that Christians would be prepared to patiently and relationally share Jesus with those who seek.
