Today we pray for Our Place of Lodging

Jesus replied, “Foxes have dens and birds have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head.” Matthew 8:20

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you for providing a place to come away with you in Malaysia for our retreat location. You always meet our needs. Lord, we genuinely marvel at Your goodness! Thank You for providing a retreat setting that will be safe and comfortable for us to enjoy during our time together. We’re grateful for the staff that will serve us; thank You for their heart of service. May we bless them as they will bless us! And, may each of us experience restful sleep and safety as we move about the grounds in an environment that is perfect for hearing from You. We entrust these things to You with a heart of thanksgiving!

In Jesus’ Name, Amen

Regional Prayer Focus Nation: Japan

Challenges for Prayer

The impact of the Japanese Church on the nation is inadequate. The Church must turn from its insular, bunker mentality to engage with society. The government is not adequately solving the social ills confronting Japan; the transforming power of Christ, as expressed through a revived Church, is an answer not being adequately offered. There is, however, a new emphasis on evangelism in many churches and a willingness to try new paradigms of ministry. Pray for Christianity to have a massive and redemptive impact on the nation.

Bible training for Christian workers is vitally needed and provided by 125 denominational and interdenominational seminaries and Bible schools. Pray for a new generation of pastors; 70% are over age 50.
