Today we pray for…

Attendees: Emma S., Kate B., and Rebecca W.

Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:9

One of the attendees shared that the most difficult challenge she faces in serving is FEAR. Fear of the economy. Fear of illness. Financial worries. Fear of violence against herself and her family. Personal struggles with infertility. Fear of crime. Fear that she is not making any difference at all. Corruption. Fear that there will be no water, no gas, no electricity etc. Poor infrastructure on the roads means stress and fear for safety. Fear that no growth is happening and that discipleship is a waste of time. Being discriminated against for being American and white. Fear of inadequacy. Holy Spirit, through the Word and Your power, we ask that You please hold these ladies’ emotions close to Your heart, and have them feel Your arms around them. Bring Your Word to them in the midst of their realities.

The country of Zambia, east of Angola, faces significant social challenges. With 25% of the 15 million citizens claiming to be evangelical, there’s a great need for leadership training and helping disciples mature in their faith. Pray that the church will rise not only to effective discipleship, but the challenge of a growing Islamic presence.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
