Today we pray for…

Attendees: Marcie and Rosemary

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not unto your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path. Proverbs 3:5-6

After spending more of your life overseas than in your passport country, retiring Stateside can be a huge cultural adjustment. Father, may the work that these women entrust to Africans be grounded deeply in grace, truth, love, and be multiplied. Guide these women in healthy closure. We ask for provision and direction as to where to retire. Hold them close in the in-between emotional transition. Please provide them with new friendships and a new vision with purpose when Stateside.

Lord, we want to lift up Swaziland to You today. Thank You for the faithful sowing of the gospel for the last 150 years. Swaziland is one of the few African countries that has retained strong ties with pre-colonial political and cultural society. Although there is a significant evangelical community, the churches are generally stagnating. We pray for revival where a clear evangelical message is proclaimed, repentance that leads to holy living and greater unity among Christian leaders. We also pray that the stronghold of witchcraft and ancestor worship, as well as the spirit of polygamy and immorality, might be broken within the churches and nation.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
