My name is Claire Miller, and my family and I have lived in Manila, Philippines for 6 years now. We have 3 kids: Grade 2, Kindergarten, and Preschool…the older 2 were age 2 and 9 months when we moved here!

My husband teaches high school Bible classes at Faith Academy, a Christian international school; I am a stay-at-home mom, which means I do the following: help with Member Care for my organization, am an accompanist for the high school Concert Choir at the school, run a Manila Mom2Mom group for global worker moms in the area twice a month, drive a carpool of 6 preschoolers once a week, grocery shop, buy fresh things from the market, go once a week to language learning, and teach my children and two of their friends piano lessons.

I see God at work in our marriage. We thought since we had easily glided through the “seven year itch” we were good to go, but 10 years this year has been our hardest year yet. God has changed and healed us, brought us closer together during this difficult year, and provided just the right people to be there to help us.

Please pray for the students that we minister to: many are TCKs and MKs and know the Bible. We are working so that their lives reflect Christ and that they know Him so that they can deepen their relationships now and once they graduate. Pray for our family as we spend the next year in the US on home assignment and go through many transitions, that we would strengthen friendships and make new ones. Pray that we would have wisdom with our role in Member Care to relate to and encourage our team members. Pray for wisdom as we desire to adopt and/or foster children when we return to the field after our year home assignment.
