Who can number the clouds by wisdom? Or who can tilt the water skins of the heavens?

Job 38:37

How awesome to see God interacting with Job and confronting him with questions that can silence even the worst atheist. When the heavens finally opened in our drought-stricken area recently, we could only lift our voices and acknowledge Him who really holds the rain in His Hands. Our hearts were filled with joy and a sense that God will show the doom weather prophets in our area wrong. We glory in His wisdom and faithfulness. Even though some farmers are desperate and without hope, we keep our eyes fixed on the One who tilts the skins of the heavens. Our hope and dream is that some of them will even bow the knee and allow the King of the Heavens to rule in their hearts.

About the author

We did pastoral work on the little island of Mauritius for four years but returned to South Africa in September 2014. Since December we are working on the South Coast of Kwazulu Natal where my husband is the director for Crusade for Christ (an indigenous mission) and I coordinate the ministry of Silver Oaks Retreat and Conference Center. We see ourselves called to equip the saints to do the works God has gifted them to do (Ephesians 4:12) Our main ministry is to Xhosa and Zulu folk and we feel honored to serve the Lord for this season in this place.
