Today we pray for…

Attendee: Michelle

May the Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and by his grace gave us eternal encouragement and good hope, encourage your hearts and strengthen you in every good deed and word (2 Thessalonians 2:16-17).

Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way (2 Thessalonians 3:16).

Lord, for the ladies involved with cross cultural teams, we ask for an abundance of patience, insight, love, grace, forgiveness, laughter, and courage to persevere in trying to understand how each one processes and problem solves. May they give each other the benefit of the doubt. When hurts occur, grant them humble and forgiving spirits. May disunity not be victorious!

Father, for those women dating or married to men of other cultures, we ask the same. Grant them a spirit of discernment along with wise people to come alongside them. We pray that the ladies have divinely appointed conversations throughout their time at the retreat.

The Dominican Republic shares the Caribbean island of Hispaniola with Haiti. The DR is the second largest island in land mass and population. It is also the most visited destination in the Caribbean. Two challenges that face the country and the churches are the influx of Haitian immigrants and the disparity in social/economic status. Pray that the evangelical churches would be that light on a hill, influencing the country’s progress in justice and compassion. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
