Today we pray for…

Attendees: Linda and Caitlyn

Blessed is the [woman] man who trusts in the Lord, and whose hope is in the Lord. For [she] he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, which spreads out its roots by the river, and will not fear when heat comes; but its leaf will be green, and will not be anxious in the year of drought, nor will cease from yielding fruit (Jeremiah 17:7–8, NKJV).

Father, we ask You to visit these women with grace in their seasons of transitions. We pray that the barren landscape of trial will become fertile soil for new growth. Gracious God, revive their spirit and restore their laughter. May they find You in their pain and trust You in their waiting. Holy One who redeems all things, meet them powerfully as they journey through a “Land Between” [Manion, Jeff, The Land Between: Finding God in Difficult Transitions]. We pray that You free them from a spirit of fear.

For those women nearing retirement, lead them in healthy closure. We ask for provision and direction as to when and where to retire. Hold them close in the in-between emotional transition. Please provide them with new friendships and a new vision with purpose once they are Stateside.

Many people forget or are ignorant about just how big and diverse Brazil is. Lop off Alaska and Brazil is slightly bigger than the U.S. It has the world’s largest rain forest and the volume of water being dumped into the ocean by the Amazon River is greater the total of the next seven largest rivers combined. Pray that the efforts, both national and international, would continue to grow in reaching Brazil’s growing urban centers as well as the multitude of tribal groups with little or no witness. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
