Today we pray for…

Attendees: Molly, Dorothy, and Jeanie

Jesus prays for His disciples: Holy Father, protect them by the power of your name—the name you gave me—so that they may be one as we are one. … My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one. … Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth (John 17:11, 15, 17).

Lord, we ask that Your Spirit will reveal any areas of unforgiveness among Your workers. We battle an enemy who uses relational wounds to divide us in our goal of seeing Your Kingdom expanded. We pray against unforgiveness between team members (or national partners), grace to accept one another as they are, along with wisdom and perseverance to work in unity. We ask for healing and for truth to purify. May the interaction with others in hard situations lead to forgiveness and freedom.

Brazil is passing through a tumultuous season as people have taken to the streets by the tens of thousands in protest of the level of corruption in the highest levels of government. On top of that, or because of that, the Brazilian economy is in a major recession, the depth of which has not been seen in decades.  Pray that people would turn their search for hope to the person and work of Jesus Christ. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
