PICTURE PRAISE

O Lord, you have searched me and known me!
You know when I sit down and when I rise up;
you discern my thoughts from afar.
You search out my path and my lying down
and are acquainted with all my ways.
Even before a word is on my tongue,
behold, O Lord, you know it altogether.
You hem me in, behind and before,
and lay your hand upon me.
Such knowledge is too wonderful for me;
it is high; I cannot attain it.

Psalm 139: 1-6

After many years of living in apartments, we’ve finally been able to rent half a house. We’ve been here for more than two years, and it’s still one of the biggest blessings in my life. I still walk around smiling sometimes, just because I live in a house. The street number is 139a, as you can see in my photo. That reminds me of Psalm 139. I didn’t even consciously know how much I wanted to live in a house, until God–the One who knew–gave me this one. He knows everything about me, and He gave me the perfect treat for me. Also, the ice: I love winter, and we’ve hardly had any real winter weather this year. But, we finally got a good snowfall and some real cold, with bright sunshine, and the beauty of it all is another special gift for me.
