Day 8 | 30 Days of Prayer | Dubai
____________ DAY 8 – SINGLES/FRIENDSHIP/COMMUNITY____________
Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their work: If one falls down, his friend can help him up. But pity the man who falls and has no one to help him up! Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone? Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.
Today we pray for attendees: Courtney, Jeannete, Jill, Lauralin, and Megan
Father, we want to lift up the single women who are serving You overseas. We pray that they would find a close friend either on their team or with a national believer; may this person join them in fellowship with You. We ask that they will develop friends that are like-minded; may they find girlfriends with whom they can have fun! Help them guard their schedules. As they say, “Goodbye” and, “Hello” to many roommates, enable them to keep their hearts open. Provide for their needs in unique ways and encourage them when they long for companionship and the closeness of family and friends who are in the States. Help them lean hard into You during dry, hard, and lonely seasons of life.
Lord, we realize that many of these women have the desire for and are open to getting married. May they trust You in this area of their life, we ask You to orchestrate meeting godly, available men—in Your perfect timing. If they are in a relationship, we ask that You give them wisdom and discernment as to Your will for them. Fill them with godly contentment and intimate encounters with You.
Lord, throughout the years, Kenya has been seen as one of the more stable countries of East Africa, yet like its neighbors, pervasive corruption in the highest levels keeps it from realizing its potential. We pray for the equipping of Kenyan believers to be godly influencers in their country as they face incredible challenges and become a pivotal player in reaching the continent for Christ.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
