Times are changing, but for years Christmas was difficult to find throughout much of the Arab world. When I stumbled across this little display of Christmas ware in a tiny corner of Damascus, I was grateful for a rush of the familiarity of home and traditions. As we celebrate and remember Jesus’ birth, my prayer is that Jesus would become known, rather than hidden in tiny corners of the city.
