____________________ DAY 28 – LIFE’S PARADOXES____________________

We also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us.

Romans 5:4-5

On this last day of the retreat, I/we invite You, Holy Spirit to continue to flow unhindered in and through each lady present. Help them to embrace the paradoxes of life with you. Where there is darkness, bring light; confusion, clarity; fear, calm; anger, peace; resentment, forgiveness; wounds, healing; exhaustion, rest; weakness, strength; strongholds, freedom; lethargies, energy. Grant them faith when they are to live with both the negative and positive, or what can be long periods of time in the negative. Free them from being slaves to “comfort”. Reveal yourself to them and enable them to live with a clearer eternal perspective. May You fill them with a renewed sense of hope, faith, being deeply known and loved, and a new vision as they return home.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
