_________________________ DAY 9 – LONLINESS_________________________

I will never leave or forsake you.

Joshua 1:5

If I say ‘Surely the darkness will hide me and the light become night around me’ even the darkness will not be dark to you; the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to you.

Psalm 139:11-12

Today I/we pray for attendees: Tamara, Anne, Naomi, Jeannette, Kristie, and Emily

Loneliness can be a black cloud that never seems to lift. A woman can be in a city, with her team, and even with her spouse and feel isolated emotionally and spiritually. Lord, I/we ask that in your gentle intimate way You heighten these ladies’ ability to hear your still small voice saying I love, value, cherish, and will continue to pursue you (Jeremiah 31:3). Enlighten their hearts to the hope of their unique calling. May they experience the power of Jesus in the mundane and in the spectacular. As they quiet their hearts to listen, may their chaos become a bit more orderly, and their “going through the motions” become more heart felt. I/we ask that joy begin to spring forth.

Thank you, Lord, that the church in Romania has developed since the fall of Communism. A strong foundation has been laid for leadership and many types of ministry. I/we pray for continual transition from severe persecution and restrictions to freedom. I/we pray against ethnic divisions and materialism. I/we ask for effective youth ministries and an awakening among the German and Hungarian Protestants. I/we thank you that a saturation church planting movement and several prayer movements are developing in Romania. I/we pray Father, that these movements will flourish.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
