I Will Not Forsake Them
I will lead the blind by ways they have not known,
along unfamiliar paths I will guide them;
I will turn the darkness into light before them
and make the rough places smooth.
These are the things I will do;
I will not forsake them.
Last year, heavy rains caused flash flooding in the country where we serve. Villages and bridges were washed away, gardens were spoiled, and the churches filled up with people looking for hope and help.
This picture shows the water flowing calmly in its new course after completely eating away the approach to one of the bridges along a route we travel.
Looking at the world and the decay in our lives is discouraging, but God asks us to look up and fix our eyes on him. Please pray for the continued restoration of infrastructure in this country, and more importantly for the rebuilding of people’s lives with an eternal hope.
