Today we pray for…

Attendees: La Toya and Laura

Teach us to number our days aright, that we may gain a heart of wisdom. Satisfy us in the morning with your unfailing love… May the favor of the Lord our God rest upon us; establish the work of our hands for us (Psalm 91:12, 14, and 17)

Today is the last day of the retreat. Lord Jesus, do all you desire in and through each lady present. As they return home, may Your Word, presence, and blessings continue to bring them encouragement and strength.

Effective time management is not easy to maintain, yet is something that each of these women desire. Holy Spirit would you wake them in the morning with a sense of your love, and lead them through the day (diapers, shopping, cleaning, studying, traveling, hosting, teaching) with a heart of wisdom. Through the mundane, establish your work and may joy be part of the process. Help them balance and care for themselves spiritually, emotionally and physically.

Few countries can match the two decades, 1978-1998, of suffering that the Central American country of Nicaragua has endured. Yet in spite of death squads and natural disasters, many have turned to Jesus as their hope and rock in a painful world. The evangelical church grew from 2% in 1960 to 30% today. We pray that the Christian community serve the poor wisely and help heal the wounds of a bloody past that still smolders.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
