Attendees: Blanca, Rebecca, and Urby

Great is the Lord and most worthy of praise. One generation will commend your works to another; they will tell of your mighty acts. The Lord is faithful to all his promises and loving toward all he has made. The Lord upholds all those who fall and lifts up all who are bowed down (Psalm 145:3, 13-14).

There are tremendous benefits and blessings in serving the Lord overseas, at whatever age. Father, you know that it is a sacrifice to not be living in closer proximity to adult kids and their children. Being a grandma long distance is hard, and the heart takes some heavy hits. We pray for comfort, creativity in staying in touch (PTL for skype!), and that both the adult kids and grandchildren “free” their folks to be where You’ve called them to be. Capture all of their hearts and may they feel they are all on the same team. Give them sweet, significant times when they are together and strength to say good-bye well when that times comes.

As the attendees are in route to the retreat, grant them traveling mercies. Please provide for their families in their absence (give dad special memories and deeper “understanding/appreciation” of mom…), and help them arrive on time, be healthy and be able to be fully present. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
