I rarely buy shoes here unless I am desperate, because the quality isn’t great. When we’re headed into battle, shoes are an important part of our armor—especially when we know the journey entails rocky soil. For this job, I’m going to need to make sure my “shoes” are well made, that they fit, and that they’ll endure. There is no substitute for the gospel of peace when taking Jesus to the places that are off the beaten path.
