Attendees: Judy and Lisa

The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in Spirit. (Psalm 34:18); They will tell of the power of your awesome works, and I will proclaim your great deeds. They will celebrate your abundant goodness and joyfully sing of your righteousness (Psalm 145:6-7).

The Lord has not abandoned these women. The Lord is near the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit. God may not always answer their questions, but He walks with them in the midst of them lest they get lost in the wilderness of their minds. Lord may they invite You into their pain. May they invite You to be their sufficiency in the midst of it all. You promise, You WILL sustain them.

Perhaps in the middle of the above scenario is also praise for the way He is changing these women’s lives and those to whom they are ministering. Suffering and praise often go hand and hand. We ask that You nourish their souls throughout the retreat. In Jesus name, Amen.
