There is now NO condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set me free from the law of sin and death (Romans 8:1-2).

I’m almost positive everyone knows this verse – however, I’m almost equally sure that many of us (and the attendees) live with an ever-present sense of guilt/shame at not being/doing “enough”. Jesus, we ask that as we “confess our sins, He is faithful and just and WILL forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness” (I John 1:9)  May the ladies hear, “I forgive you”, and may they ACCEPT that forgiveness and walk then in freedom by the power of the Spirit. Holy Spirit, during this retreat, would you cleanse these ladies and free them to clearly reflect You and live in truth and abundance for Your name’s sake. We pray for mental, spiritual, and physical protection for every lady as she returns home, and ask that she do so more fully in love with You.

CAMBODIA: Few countries have as deep social and emotional scars as Cambodia. Approximately 20% of its population was murdered by the Khmer Rouge in the mid 70’s. Hundreds of thousands more have become refugees. Child prostitution and AIDS plagues the country and corruption is rampant. Yet the ills of Cambodia give opportunity for Christian NGOs to show the love of Jesus Christ by ministering to the needs of the people. Pray for wise and creative approaches in bringing the gospel to the Cambodian people. Pray that the many Cambodians who have become Christ followers as refugees would return to their homeland as evangelists. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
