Attendees: Rebecca and Nancy

Who can separate these women from the love of Christ? Shall trouble, or hardship, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? NO, in ALL these things, make them MORE than conquerors through him who loves them. Convince them anew that neither death nor life, angels nor demons, present nor future, nor any powers, height nor depth nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate them from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus their Lord (Romans 8:35-39).

Sustain these women Lord, through the best of life and the worst. Help them cling to You. Help them remember although their flesh and heart may fail, You are the strength of their heart and their portion forever. Carry them and rescue them even when they fight you. Overcome their struggles. Quiet them until they become like a weaned child with their mother.

Today is the first day of the first retreat. Envelope each woman with your presence as they are welcomed. We want them to feel “at home”. Bless every encounter with grace, love, and joy. Help them navigate all the various options for their free time. We ask that they enjoy their small group from the get-go. Pour out Your presence during our sanctuary of prayer this evening (20 minutes of silent prayer), may they experience a touch of intimacy with You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
