Attendees: Lesley, Jamie and Ruth-Ann

How blessed is God!  And what a blessing he is!  He’s the Father of our Master, Jesus Christ, and takes us to the high places of blessing in him.  Long before he laid down earth’s foundations, he had us in mind, had settled on us as the focus of his love, to be made whole and holy by his love. He wanted us to enter into the celebration of his lavish gift-giving by the hand of his beloved Son. (Ephesians 1:3-6 The Message)

On this first day of the retreat, as the women arrive (please bring each of them on time without complications!), let a sweet spirit of prayer, acceptance and excitement be evident in each greeting. We ask that this be a sanctuary, a safe haven, a place of peace. Holy Spirit saturate every detail.

Jesus, bless the interactions of each small group, lead us in authentic sharing and listening.  May it be a time the ladies look forward to.

Pour out Your Spirit as we are still before Him during our sanctuary of prayer time this evening.  Let your healing and gentle touch be experienced.

We want to thank and enjoy you!! In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Sudan is Africa’s largest country.  Thank you, Lord, that due to the long and terrible warfare, Christians have spread all around the country, leading to a multiplication of congregations in areas of many unreached peoples.  Sudan’s civil war has been one of the world’s longest conflicts in the 20th Century.  We pray for peace and the formation of a viable multi-cultural, multi-religious society.  Lord, we pray that commitment to Jesus will increase despite aching needs and terrible suffering.  We also ask for a unity that transcends tribal boundaries and battle lines. For those Global Women who are based out of Kenya but travel into Sudan, we pray for protection, faith, grace and peace along with unity in their marriages as the stress toll is immense. We ask all this in Jesus’ name, Amen.
