Habari from Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

“Make new friends, but keep the old. One is silver and the other gold.”

This saying served us well today as we greeted dear familiar friends and met new sisters from many states in our home country. It was a joy to see the loving hugs and to hear the squeals of laughter and delight from our volunteer team as we came together to prepare for our first week of retreat. We shared so much today – prayer and praises to our King, gift package preparation for our 80+ guests soon to arrive, good meals and dinner poolside. We are learning our way around Seascape Hotel, catching up on our sleep, navigating the internet and FaceTime, and taking lots and lots of pictures. The sights, smells and sounds of Dar ss Salaam are new to most of us, but God is meeting us here and He continues to fill us with joy, wonder, love, and excitement for His work over the next two weeks here in Tanzania.
