Attendees:   Evelyn, Allison, Anna and Kathleen

We ask God to fill each of these ladies with the knowledge of his will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding.  We pray this in order that they may live a life worthy of the Lord and may please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that they may have great endurance and patience, joyfully giving thanks to the Father. (Colossians 1:9-11)

Lord, please give attendees wisdom and direction as they continue to seek Your will as to ministry, location and timing.  In addition, guidance in personal decisions too. It is a constant challenge to know when to give and when it is more harmful to do so. Living among such poverty is a heavy burden, please help the ladies be like Christ on a daily basis, not wanting to fall into “compassion fatigue”. There are many expectations of westerners to meet the needs of those around them which can cause friction between national leadership and the Global Women.

Thank you Lord that Uganda is the first country in the world to cut their massive AIDS problem in half! Both government and churches faced up to the terrible calamity and have successfully worked to achieve this reduction. We praise You for the renewed revival from 1986 onwards. We ask You Lord for the church’s loving unity, continued renewal and training up of a new generation of leaders. We pray for effective youth programs in churches that will raise up a new generation of followers in You. We pray for wisdom how and when to give to needs that constantly confront the Global Women, in a nation of poverty, to stand for the truth in the midst of a culture that loves to hear the prosperity Gospel and to live in a capitol city that is crowded, noisy all through the night and constantly jammed with crazy drivers.  In Jesus’ name, Amen.
