Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.  This is the first and greatest commandment.  And the second is like it:  Love your neighbor as yourself. (Matthew 22:37-39)

Volunteers: Lydia, Dee, Suzanna (prayer); Rachael (massage); Amanda, Sarah (hair); Staff: Lorrie and Christina

Father, may Christina and Lorrie experience Your Spirit’s direction, strength, unity and grace as they lead the volunteer team and work out the logistics of the retreat in Africa.

Lord, we ask that Your Holy Spirit have full reign in every prayer session. May Rachael, Amanda and Sarah be given supernatural stamina and have divine encounters while listening, praying and helping the women to relax and feel beautiful.  (So glad You care!)

May the volunteer team “look out” for each other, being a real source of encouragement and modeling unity and joy to the attendees.  Lord, we pray that the volunteers will be intentional in taking time to slow down and connect deeply with You, asking that You give them healthy margins (spiritually, physically and emotionally) before they leave to give of themselves in ways they never imagined in Tanzania.

Leadership for the churches in Burundi (south of Rwanda) is in short supply; violence caused the closure of Bible schools which in turn cut off the supply of trained leaders. Now, schools are being re-established and new ones opened, but poverty holds back many prospective students from enrolling. Lord, we ask for financial provision for those who wish to equip themselves for the Lord’s service. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
