Today we pray for…

Retreat attendees: Rita and Kelly

Don’t be afraid for I have ransomed you.  I have called you by name; you are mine.  When you go through deep waters and great trouble, I will be with you.  When you go through rivers of difficulty you will not drown…For I am the Lord your God…you are precious to me….and I love you (Isaiah 43:1-4).

Lord, we want to lift up to You the women dealing with various illnesses. Chronic fatigue syndrome, lung/sinus issues, rare congenital heart defect, cancer, migraines, are some of the issues before them. Lead them through the medical appointments, grant them places to rest, and strengthen them as they visit with friends, family and supporters. Please be there in the discouraging, painful times when it seems like it is too much to deal with. Give them wisdom and a sense of peace in each decision.

Thank you Lord that Uganda is the first country in the world to cut their massive AIDS problem in half! Both government and churches faced up to the terrible calamity and have successfully worked to achieve this reduction. We praise You for the renewed revival from 1986 onwards. We ask You Lord for the church’s loving unity, continued renewal, and training up of a new generation of leaders. We pray for effective youth programs in churches that will raise up a new generation of followers in You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
