Today we pray for…

Retreat attendee: Mica

We pray that out of his glorious riches He may strengthen each of these ladies with power through his Spirit in their inner being, so that Christ may dwell in their hearts through faith. May they have the power to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ.  Do so in a way that is immeasurably more than all they could ask or imagine according to His power that is at work within each of them! (Ephesians 3:14-20)

Living in areas with ever deteriorating security situations, multiple evacuations, severe poverty, injustice, remoteness, inadequate medical care (and having small children), ministering to homeless and addicts, living in range of bombings/shootings are all recipes for post traumatic stress scenarios along with exhaustion. Lord, we ask that these ladies be able to begin to process their last term, while interacting with others who can identify with them. Help them decompress and experience soul rest while You go before them as they visit with family, friends, supporters and churches. We ask that they do so through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Lord, we want to lift up the country of Spain.  The transformation of Spain since 1974 is astonishing – from dictatorship to liberty, poverty to wealth, isolation to integration into Europe and religious discrimination to rampant secularism.  There is a spiritual vacuum which is being filled by secularism and materialism – there has not been the longed-for turning to a personal relationship to Christ as religious freedom has increased. Foreign cults and the occult has increased – with mediums, astrology, parapsychology having a high profile.  Drugs and gambling are also on the upraise.  Lord, we pray for spiritual power, love, wisdom, and God prepared opportunities, along with perseverance, for all seeking to minister to these people bound by Satan’s wiles and quite uninterested and apathetic toward Christ and His Word. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
