As I traveled with one of my local friends to her family’s village, we stopped at several of her relatives’ houses.  They greeted me so warmly, like one of the family.  It was lovely time of summer-everything was green and the fruits were in season.  They spread the tablecloth on the floor, asked me questions, and shared about their lives- all the while constantly refilling my tea cup and offering me food. This people group and culture is very hospitable; they always welcome guests-unexpected or not.  I think Jesus is very pleased with this act of kindness. It makes me think about how I treat others, whether they are expected or unexpected guests or strangers.
