The picture was taken by my husband. He, our three boys, and four friends went on a long hike (18km) in the bush, as part of our middle son’s birthday party!  We don’t have much in the line of entertainment out here so we create our own, and where better for boys than in God’s wonderful creation!  We are reminded of why we are here out in the middle of nowhere – there are still people who have never heard of God’s redemption plan of Jesus! And so Revelation 1:7, suggested by my 11 year old son, fits the picture.

About the author

We are a cross-cultural family living in a remote village in the North of Mozambique. We are doing pioneering church planting under a “least-reached” people group, the Yao. We have three sons whom I homeschool. Apart from being a wife and mother I also help people in our village with basic health care (before I became a global worker I was a physiotherapist) and am learning the Yao language. I love flowers and plant them everywhere I go believing that Beauty brings Hope!
