Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food… yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will be joyful in God my Savior. The Sovereign Lord is my strength; he enables me to go on the heights (Habakkuk 3:17-19)
Lord, we specifically pray for Malka, Aukje, and Jermaine, You know their hearts and their needs at this time. We pray that they would not feel pressured by their churches, agencies, friends (or themselves) to be producing ´successful´ work in their area, but that they would follow closely after You instead. You are the vine, the source of all things. You work in Your own way, on Your own time-frame, and You value many things other than numbers and accomplishments. Help these women to know this and to resist the pressure to perform in certain ways. Help them to be honest in their sharing about ministry, and give them opportunities to share how they have grown in their knowledge and love of You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
