Some Questions Answered – A blog post for Thrive Advocates

My suitcase is empty even though I leave for the Middle East in less than 24 hours. I look at the pile of clothes and retreat supplies on my guest bed and wonder, “Will it all fit?” “Are the clothes appropriate for climate and culture?” “Will I make all my connections?” “Will another thermal vortex mess with my flights?” And, many more!

DSCF7976By the time this post is published, my questions will be answered. I’ll be at our retreat location with the rest of the volunteer team and each of us will have seen God go before us and bring us safely to our destination. On arrival, we’ll begin discovering the answers to more questions. “Are the retreat attendees’ preparations to join us going OK?” “How will God show up to bless our guests?” “What will my part be in making the retreat a special event?”  God already knows the answers to those questions and He has put together a prayer team that is praying us to, through, and home from the retreat. We are counting on them and we’re counting on our God to do His amazing work in and through each of us on the volunteer team.
