Seven of us make up the advance team for the two retreats Thrive is hosting in Bali, Indonesia. By early (Really Early) Wednesday morning, each of us had safely arrived at our hotel. This morning (Wednesday), we met with staff from the hotel and the travel company who are helping us with the many, many details of putting on two retreats for 100 women. This local team is key to the success of our retreats and we desire to be a blessing to them, too. The remainder of our volunteer team will join us tomorrow. As volunteers, we are willing to fly long distances, fight and conquer jet lag, and settle into a temporary home away from home because we are passionate to serve our guests, North American Women who live and work in this region of the world.

These retreats would not happen, though, without our Stateside teammates. They are Thrive’s dedicated office staff, those who generously sponsor our attendees retreats, and those who send the volunteers with their prayers and gifts. Together, those who come and those who send, are anticipating seeing women rested, renewed and encouraged to do and be all God dreams for them through the gift of these two retreats. What an adventure! What a cooperative effort!
