Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not unto your own understanding.  In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths. (Proverbs 3:5-6)  My God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19).

Lord, we lift up Lorrie and Christina (Thrive staff) as they work on the billion details before the trip.  Father God, You know exactly what staff we need and who (and when?!) You will provide.  We ask for a worship leader (huge NEED); hairstylist (Kim), photographer and massage therapist.  Raising the funds necessary as volunteer staff is often a barrier, and definitely a faith stretcher. We trust You to provide each woman’s need, confirming Your desire for them to be in Bali. We also commit to you the sponsorships needed for each attendee. We know it IS Your will for these daughters of Yours to be encouraged to persevere in their response to Your call on their lives to share the Gospel. We commit our team to You and ask for a deep spirit of unity, cover us with the name of Jesus.

Thailand means Land of the Free which is tragically ironic as the country is known for the rampant corruption that permeates society. Child abuse via prostitution and slavery plagues the country. Over 90% of the population is Buddhist, whose social and cultural web makes it very difficult to follow Jesus without family consequences. Church growth has occurred largely among those of Chinese descendants. We pray that the church and its leadership would be lights of truth and boldly confront the social ills of the country.

In Jesus’ name, Amen
