The swan resting beside the moat at Pembroke Castle, Wales is such a sweet picture of rest. If you notice it definitely has it’s eye on me. What you do not see is that there is a half-grown grey swan duckling not too far away that it is also keeping an eye on.

What you see that looks so sweet, calm and restful on the outside may not have anything to do with what is really going on.
It brings some thoughts to mind: 1) being real and letting others in to see I am not perfect can be an encouragement to them. They need to know that they can be ‘real Christians’ without having it all together. 2) Ministry means getting to know more than just the facade you see in public. 3) It may look perfect from our point of view, but picture may be different with a bigger lens.
