Psalm 95: 1-3 Come, let us sing for joy to the LORD; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song. For the LORD is the great God, the great King above all gods.

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you for the many ways you have blessed the Thrive 2013 Furlough Retreat. You have encouraged the hearts of women who serve you around the world. Women who desired to be your hands to love the retreat attendees saw you work in and through them to do more than they could have imagined. You provided wonderful, Biblical teaching; worship that led the women into your presence; small group times that helped the women process what they were hearing and build special relationships; and counseling, prayer and pampering opportunities that gave practical ways for the women to be loved. Thank you for those who sponsored the missionary women, for those who gave so the volunteers could serve, and for those who faithfully prayed. We celebrate you, dear God, for all you have done!

In Jesus Name,

Amen

About the author

As a former missionary and current pastor's wife, Jill thrives when she is able to come alongside missionaries. Her ministry with PD Ministries and Thrive allows Jill to use her organizational and leadership skills as well as her flair for beauty to encourage missionary women. Jill loves to get away with her husband to mountain top retreats and to visit her far-away grandchildren. Her adventurous spirit has taken her para sailing, scuba diving, she has eaten strange foods like scorpions and crickets, and traversed the Amazon's Chanchamayo River. Her creativity shows itself in her pottery and her spirit is renewed by reading, keeping a quiet heart, and coming alongside others as a teacher, coach, mentor and friend. She says, " I get ecstatic watching God speak in specific situations and issues through His Word and resolve challenges in a way that makes it clear HE's at work! It is exciting to watch His Word literally come alive in the midst of very real concerns."
