Ephesians 6:18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.

Please pray for Amy and Michele, retreat attendees.

Dear Heavenly Father,

No matter who we are or where we live and work, we are broken people. We carry in our hearts regret for things done or undone, said or not said. The women coming to the retreat are no different and their hearts need your encouragement, healing, and hope. If there are struggles with their devotional times, if they are wrestling with suffering and pain that seems unfair, if they’ve seen too much, lived too hard, cried into the night, please use this retreat to wrap them in your love, care and comfort. Please help them to lay their burdens, their hurts and disappointments at your feet. Please remind those who’ve forgotten the blessings you’ve showered on them. Please cause thanksgiving to bubble in their spirits as they lift your name in worshipful praise, listen to godly teaching and enjoy being loved and pampered by the volunteers. We ask that you will help them to meet you right where they are and experience all ou have to give them during these special retreat days.

In Jesus name,

Amen

About the author

As a former missionary and current pastor's wife, Jill thrives when she is able to come alongside missionaries. Her ministry with PD Ministries and Thrive allows Jill to use her organizational and leadership skills as well as her flair for beauty to encourage missionary women. Jill loves to get away with her husband to mountain top retreats and to visit her far-away grandchildren. Her adventurous spirit has taken her para sailing, scuba diving, she has eaten strange foods like scorpions and crickets, and traversed the Amazon's Chanchamayo River. Her creativity shows itself in her pottery and her spirit is renewed by reading, keeping a quiet heart, and coming alongside others as a teacher, coach, mentor and friend. She says, " I get ecstatic watching God speak in specific situations and issues through His Word and resolve challenges in a way that makes it clear HE's at work! It is exciting to watch His Word literally come alive in the midst of very real concerns."
