After months of preparation and anticipation, the volunteers arrived full of excitement and eager to get to know each other. Gifts were given, introductions were made, and common ground was established, creating unity among the team. One of the most meaningful experiences was worship and prayer, also known as “personal sanctuary”. God quickly knit the hearts of the volunteers together as sisters in Christ serving a common purpose.
“Personal sanctuary is one of my favorite times of the retreat. It is such a great way to transition from my busy life to a heart of service – laying myself at His feet to be filled by Him. “ Kari Berglund
