Day 23 | 30 Days of Prayer | Colorado Furlough

2 Corinthians 1: 10-12 He has delivered us from such a deadly peril, and he will deliver us again. On him we have set our hope that he will continue to deliver us, as you help us by your prayers. Then many will give thanks on our behalf for the gracious favor granted us in answer to the prayers of many.

Please pray today for Marlene and Christine, retreat attendees.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We thank you for the many ways you love and care for us, even rescuing us from cares that sometimes threaten to overtake us. Thank you for the gift of prayer and that we can pray for one another. Today we ask you to help our retreat attendees live life well no matter what challenges they are facing. Some may have children who struggle with their faith, health issues or schooling needs. Others may be concerned for aging parents or mourn the distance that separates them from family and friends. While we can guess what burdens they may carry, you know exactly what might be discouraging them. Please use the retreat to be an oasis of rest, renewal and rejuvenation for their souls. Please meet them exactly where they are and lead them to where you want them to be.

In Jesus name,

Amen

About the author

As a former missionary and current pastor's wife, Jill thrives when she is able to come alongside missionaries. Her ministry with PD Ministries and Thrive allows Jill to use her organizational and leadership skills as well as her flair for beauty to encourage missionary women. Jill loves to get away with her husband to mountain top retreats and to visit her far-away grandchildren. Her adventurous spirit has taken her para sailing, scuba diving, she has eaten strange foods like scorpions and crickets, and traversed the Amazon's Chanchamayo River. Her creativity shows itself in her pottery and her spirit is renewed by reading, keeping a quiet heart, and coming alongside others as a teacher, coach, mentor and friend. She says, " I get ecstatic watching God speak in specific situations and issues through His Word and resolve challenges in a way that makes it clear HE's at work! It is exciting to watch His Word literally come alive in the midst of very real concerns."
