Hebrews 13:20, 21 – Now may the God of peace…equip you with everything good for doing his will, and may he work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

Today we pray for retreat attendees, Lour Evelyn and Kathryn, and retreat volunteer Ruth Ann

Father thank you for the unique opportunity to meet and work with women you’ve brought together on the volunteer team who have such varied gifts and strengths and experiences. It’s exciting to know that you have hand-selected each one for your purposes at the retreat, and that you will use each one to touch the lives of others. We pray that you will equip each volunteer for creating a loving and effective team that brings pleasure and glory to you. May they serve you and each other with humility and grace.

We pray for the attendees, also, that you will cause each one to feel welcomed and loved while they are at the retreat. Let them not experience loneliness. Instead, we ask that you would provide friendships with others who clearly understand and identify with them, and who care for them. We pray for “divine encounters” that will bring a sense of thankfulness and joy to someone with a hurting heart.

We trust you for these things in Jesus’ name,

Amen

About the author

As a former missionary and current pastor's wife, Jill thrives when she is able to come alongside missionaries. Her ministry with PD Ministries and Thrive allows Jill to use her organizational and leadership skills as well as her flair for beauty to encourage missionary women. Jill loves to get away with her husband to mountain top retreats and to visit her far-away grandchildren. Her adventurous spirit has taken her para sailing, scuba diving, she has eaten strange foods like scorpions and crickets, and traversed the Amazon's Chanchamayo River. Her creativity shows itself in her pottery and her spirit is renewed by reading, keeping a quiet heart, and coming alongside others as a teacher, coach, mentor and friend. She says, " I get ecstatic watching God speak in specific situations and issues through His Word and resolve challenges in a way that makes it clear HE's at work! It is exciting to watch His Word literally come alive in the midst of very real concerns."
