Isaiah 40:29-31 – He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

Today we pray for Carolyn and Vera, retreat attendees and Phyllis, one of the volunteers.

Heavenly Father, today we pray for the Massage Team volunteers, and thank you for their unique gift of relaxing touch. Please provide opportunities and spaces for scheduling those who would especially benefit from massage, but who might not normally be bold enough to ask for it. May you give the massage team strength and good health throughout the retreat, and sensitivity to the needs of each lady. Help them to know when to engage in conversation or allow a time of quiet. Guide them as they silently pray while they are with their ladies. We pray for endurance for them, and that you would provide a peaceful and restful ambiance for administering massage.

Lord, today we also pray for the attendees’ extended families. While on furlough, we ask that they will have the opportunity to spend rich times of relationship-building with their families and friends, and that you would instill deeper understanding and support in those who love and care for them. Let this time in the states and with their families bring greater love and blessing to you as a result.

In Jesus’ name,

Amen
