Attendees: Rachel, Patti, Frances, and Susan

“I tell you the truth,” Jesus said to them, “no one who has left home or wife or brothers or parents or children for the sake of the kingdom of God will fail to receive many times as much in this age and, in the age to come, eternal life” (Luke 18:29-30 ).

There is no doubt that loss, pain, and worry (even guilt) accompany leaving loved ones behind for the sake of following His call on one’s life. Lord, Counselor, would you please give great discernment of how best to care for aging parents long-distance. We ask for peace, love, understanding, appreciation, and clear communication among siblings, along with provision for the various stages of transition as the needs become more complicated. Grant wisdom and provision (along with timing) in “emergency” visits.

If parents don’t know Jesus as their Savior, would you bring them into intimate relationship with You before they die. Father, comfort all hearts involved, and bless families with significant connections when face to face, as well as long distance.

A renewal movement that began in the mid-80s has the Argentina evangelical community impacting the world with Christian leaders, teachers, and global workers. One amazing ministry has been to the country’s prisons. It’s estimated 25% of inmates have become Christian. Yet, the battle for the heart and soul of Argentines is intense with the occult, health and prosperity, sects, and spiritism. Pray for unity among the evangelical groups and a heartbeat for prayer in the warfare in which the Argentine church is engaged. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
