Noah was “a righteous man, who was distressed by the filthy lives of lawless men” (for that righteous man, living among them day after day, was tormented in his righteous soul by the lawless deeds he saw and heard) – if this is so, then the Lord knows how to rescue godly men from trials and to hold the unrighteous for the day of judgment. (2 Peter 2:7-8)

Father, let the retreat be a haven of peace, beauty, spiritual and physical nourishment, rejuvenation and vision where the women can be still and hear your voice confirming Your love for them and that You are just and holy and will bring judgment one day, while at the same time Your heart mourns and yearns for the lost to come to You.
Rwanda – We praise you Jesus for the opening of the first faith based midwifery birth centre in Rwanda and that trains midwives, while caring for childbearing women! This attendee said, “The hardest challenge to endure, for me, is the devastating situations our women face. The babies they lose, the difficulties they experience in their homes, the sexual abuse they’ve experienced from very young ages, the brokenness they have from the 1994 genocide. Rwanda is a very dark place spiritually. This is our 7th year here and we keep praying that the light of Christ will keep penetrating and changing lives here, spreading hope for a future, conquering despair. Life here is very intense as we walk alongside Rwandans. It’s difficult. To be honest, the intensity can be depleting. But it’s worth it!” In Jesus’ name, Amen.
