The One who died for us – who was raised to life for us!-is in the presence of God at this very moment sticking up for us. Do you think anyone is going to be able to drive a wedge between us and Christ’s love for us? There is no way! Not trouble, not hard times, not hatred, not hunger, not homelessness, not bullying threats, not backstabbing. I’m absolutely convinced that nothing – nothing living or dead, angelic or demonic, today or tomorrow, high or low, thinkable or unthinkable – absolutely NOTHING can get between us and God’s love because of the way that Jesus our Master has embraced us. (Romans 8:34-39 The Message)
On this last day of the retreat, as the women have worshiped in a sanctuary of praise, found a safe refuge, we pray that their love for Christ has been rekindled, their souls recalibrated to Jesus, and that as a result they will return to their families and ministry free to walk in grace, joyfully responding to the promptings of the Spirit. May they own a renewed sense of identity, as beloved daughters of the King.
A renewal movement that began in the mid-80’s has the Argentina evangelical community impacting the world with Christian leaders, teachers, and cross-cultural workers. One amazing ministry has been to the country’s prisons. It’s estimated 25% of inmates have become Christians. Yet the battle for the heart and soul of Argentineans is intense with the occult, health and welfare, sects, and spiritism. We pray for unity among the evangelical groups and a heartbeat for prayer in the warfare in which the Argentine church is engaged. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
