Today we pray for…

Volunteers: Jaime, Allyson, and Terri

Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen (I Peter 4:10-11).

Father, thank you for our massage therapists. What a blessing to be in a quiet room and have someone massage the knots out of a stressed body. Thank you that Terri will be there to cut hair – what a blessing – as we all know what “bad hair” days do to our day’s perspective! We pray for physical, emotional and spiritual strength for these volunteers as they will work many hours. Empower them as they pray over the women.

We pray for Brazil today.  We pray for the end of endemic corruption, cronyism, injustices of society, and discrimination (against the poor, underprivileged children, and indigenous tribal peoples). We pray that Evangelicals may use their growing influence wisely and in biblical holiness and humility.  We also pray for the over-evangelized but underfed converts, many petty legalisms, and an enormous rate of of ex-Evangelicals that now are disillusioned with Christianity.  We pray for godly servant leadership, accountable to those to whom they minister. Not only is Brazil the largest Catholic country, but also the largest spiritist country in the world.  Father, we pray for spiritually-equipped Christians to minister to and deliver those bound by Satan. We pray that the Church may find effective means to break through into ethnic minorities and the nation’s elite within the cities, which are far less reached.  In Jesus’ name, Amen.
