STORY BEHIND THE PHOTO:
My husband ran through the gathering of pigeons where these young boys were finding ways to collect coins at the famous Blue Mosque in Mazar- Sharif. Hinting purity and freedom the pigeons seem to point to a sense of hope for many lost in chaos and brokenness. Looking for that Day described in Revelation 19:17 “Then I saw an angel standing in the sun, and with a loud voice he called to all the birds that fly directly overhead, ’Come, gather for the great supper of God.’”
