Today we pray for…
Attendees: Alejandra and Molly
But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him (James 1:5).
Dear Heavenly Father,
Many of our global women attendees are raising children overseas. Some have wonderful education choices, some have happily chosen to home school their children, and others are struggling with the challenges of educating their children in their location. No matter where families live, the culture of the location can impact children in positive or negative ways. Sometimes, children raised overseas feel that they do not belong or feel at home anywhere. Children who grow up overseas often do not get to see extended family as much as their stateside peers. All of these challenges and more impact the attendee’s children.
Please give wisdom to attendees and their husbands as they raise their children overseas. Please help them to notice how the culture around them may be impacting their children. May they help their children find their identity in You and find their place of being “at home”. May You strengthen the family ties that stretch around the world. Please help these children to grow up whole and healthy in every way and to walk with You all the days of their lives.
We praise You, Lord, for the growth of the church in Indonesia over the past 40 years. Thank you that the harsh extremism of Islamists has repelled many moderate Muslims. We are grateful that when the government mandated each citizen adhere to one of the five recognized religions, it encouraged many animists to consider the claims of the gospel. Lord, we thank you that the lives of committed Christians, prayer, and the outpouring of the Holy Spirit have brought about fruit. We pray against ancient and powerful occult powers in the country and ask for continued growth of your Church. We also pray against the Islamization of Indonesia that has claimed the lives of many believers and seen hundreds of churches destroyed. Father, please continue to raise up godly leadership and provide effective teaching. Protect Your Church.
In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
