PICTURE PRAISE

Anafora, Egypt is the location of this scene. It is part of a retreat center. It must have been the winter season when Peter went up for a rest on the house in Joppa. Otherwise the temperature would have been too scalding hot for a noontime nap on that rooftop. In the winter, people in the Mediterranean regions still enjoy sitting out in the sunshine. I’m sure the old ladies did the mending up there and preparing the olives and stringing the garlics together. Maybe our days would feel more calm and balanced if we sat outside and basked in the sunshine while we did some chores or read the Bible. Try it and see!
