Today we pray for our Speaker
Retreat Speaker: Susan Sutton
God, whom I serve in my spirit in preaching the gospel of his Son, is my witness how constantly I remember you in my prayers at all times; and I pray that now at last by God’s will the way may be opened for me to come to you. I long to see you so that I may impart to you some spiritual gift to make you strong. Romans 1: 9-11
Dear Heavenly Father,
Our speaker, Susan, is so eager to share with the retreat attendees and volunteers the messages she believes You have given her. We ask that You anoint her so the words of her mouth will be pleasing to You. May only Your Truth will be spoken and heard during her times of teaching.
Please strengthen Susan and keep her healthy in every way. Encourage her heart and give her courage and boldness, compassion and understanding. Please carry her through these days and help her to receive Your comfort for any cares she may be holding in her heart.
Please teach each attendee and volunteer what You are wanting her to learn through Susan’s messages and help them to know how to apply those lessons to their lives in practical ways. May each woman leave the retreat changed because of the spiritual gifts You will give them through Susan.
In Jesus name, Amen

Challenges for Prayer
The looming spectre of North Korea must not be ignored. With Seoul only 30 miles from the demilitarized zone, any conflict would immediately affect millions. More likely than an invasion is the collapse of North Korea’s state structure, bringing with it massive humanitarian needs and a huge challenge to the South. Pray that political and Christian leaders may be ready for such an occasion and make wise decisions for the healing of all Korea. Mission to the North is almost impossible, but many in the South prepare and pray for reunification and for the opportunity to share the gospel. OMS/KEHC is pursuing ministry among North Korean refugees as a first step. Other initiatives include the Open Doors prayer campaign, CCK’s Save North Korea campaign and initiatives by OMF, the Methodists and others.
